The patrolled line is an ultra high-voltage transmission line of 750 kilovolt from Yili to Kuche, which is named “Electric Power Heaven Road” along the “The Belt and Road”. 353.7 kilometers in length, it stretches across Tianshan Mountains with 717 base iron towers. Most of the line is in no man’s land where terrains are complicated and daunting. The altitude of some poles and towers is even above 3,500 meters.

Tianshan Mountains are covered with snow throughout the year. It is a place with capricious climate where people rarely visit. Hence running and preserving the line is unimaginably difficult.
