On Aug.3, 2014, a 6.5 earthquake happened at 16:30 in Ludian County, Shaotong City, Yunnan Province. According to Xinhua News Agency, till 19:00, Aug.7, the earthquake has affected 1088,400 people and among them, 615 people died, 3143 people injured in Ludian County, Qiaojia County, Shayang District, Yongshan County, Shaotong City and Huize County, Qujing City.
After the earthquake happened, the situation of disaster area and victims aroused national people’s concerns. TV and media workers went to the disaster area regardless of their lives to bring site information and update rescue situations. Hereby, let’s pay high tribute to all the media and relief works.
Large rebroadcast equipments could not be used after the earthquake; Cogent Technologies Limited under CSS Group provided transmission equipments for many TV stations. Being the main tools in rescue site, these equipments can be used in epicenter in Longtoushan County, Ludian County, Shaotong and Barrier Lake.
